I've bought an IDE a year ago and it still doesn't work on my MSX2. The
people of Sunrise Swiss told me the following things:
-The yellow resistorarray (next to the connector on the interface) should
be removed. Yesterday I've removed it (=destroyed it) and YES: the
harddisk's drivename is displayed correct now.
-There is still a problem; a big problem :(
Due to some -yet unknown- problem, you can't write to the HD. So, you
can't create and init partitions.
Probably this is because of a softwareproblem:
This problem can be situated in the flashbios on the interface or in the
fdiskideprogram.
-Henrik Gilvad will probably have a solution, this or next week and he
will send it to Sunrise Swiss.
-Someone of SunriseSwiss has promised me to email me this solution as soon
as he will receive it from Gilvad.
