Hello,
I have some MSX tape games that I have found have not
been dumped so they cannot be available to real MSX
computer or emulator users.
I would certainly like to have these dumped. However
I don't know how. I have read and seen some copiers
but have no idea on how to use them. I have also read
about the .tap file format and about Virtual MSX
emulator's "Tape emulation by use of wave in/out
devices and .tap files", which I don't really know how
it works.
The tools I have are an MSX1, tape player/recorder,
PC, emulators... I haven't got an MSX disk drive...
Doesn't anybody think that it would be interesting
to have a "How to dump MSX programs" on the
MSX F.A.Q.? I think I should reach the mantainer...
Could anybody please give me a hand?
On the other hand I am playing "Batman. The Movie" under
fmsx-dos and BrMSX latest versions and have found that
when you finish level one and should step into level
two the game halts. I have the original tape and can
perfectly remember that it is a multi-load game (you
finish one stage, you start the tape recorder and load
the next stage, and so on). Could this be that the
dumping was wrongly done?
Thanks for your help,
Manuel Soler
P.S. Please reply to the e-mail address since I am not
