Hi!
The problem is solved now... There indeed was done surgery. In my own Sony 900
(at home in Terneuzen), I had the diskROM replaced by Alwin Henseler... That
diskROM also displays "DiskBASIC version 1.2". And it has an extra
instruction: _ GETVER (Get Version! ;-) That displays the info that it is made
by Alwin. And indeed! THis command worked on the 700 too! SO the diskROM has
been replaced by a diskROM of a 8245 which is adapted by Alwin (he claimed to
me, that this was the fastest diskROM around, also works on 7MHz). Another
nice thing about this ROM is that the POKE&HF346,1 is not needed to boot
MSX-DOS from BASIC.
By the way, I tried that test with 32 16k pages of binary loading with the
clock: it took 45 seconds... That would be about 11 kb/sec... That doesn't fit
with the message from DOSSCAN I get on my SOny 900: it says most of the time
16 or 17 kb/sec... But ofcourse direct disk-access is much faster (the
scanning is direct, I guess).
Thanks for all your replies and suggestions!
Grtjs, Manuel
