As far as I know, there are no specific R800 assemblers for MSX, but I might
be wrong. Anyway, he can use a macro assembler, like gen80 and m80, and
develop some macro's for the R800 specific instructions. If he decides to use
gen80, he can already have a quickstart by downloading
ftp://ftp.funet.fi/pub/msx/programming/asm/sources/muldiv.pma. This is an
archive made by me containing, among others, gen80 macro's to use the R800
multiply instructions.
