Hi you all,

In response to a request earlier (from some Brazilian or so), I have
uploaded a description of how to connect 32 or 256 KB. sampleRAM to
a MSX-Audio chip (Y8950), to my MSX Tech Doc page. See below for the
address. Click on the hardware icon to get there.

If you want to build it: go ahead, I checked things properly. I only
did this once or twice myself, but as described, it works.

If you are someone who also did this once, or know how to do this:
please check my description, to see if anything needs correction, or
maybe it can be done even simpler than I did.

I used two 256K x 4 bit DRAM's (44256) for 256 KB. Someone said
earlier that that's all that is needed. That is not quite true: a
simple inverter is also used. But: in the most likely 'victim' for
this upgrade, the Philips Music Module (NMS 1205), you can use an
unused inverter, that's already in there. So in this case, only those
2 DRAM's are enough.

I included the connections for 32 KB., for those MSX-Audio's that
don't have any, and for easy reference. I'd say other sampleRAM sizes
are really not of any interest, so you figure that out yourself, if
you'd want to.

One more thing: does anyone know what software actually uses this
extra sampleRAM, that you might use to test it?

Greetings,
