Well then I think they don't detect the FM-Pac right. Maybe it DOES work with internal FM-Pac orFM-Stereo-Pak... Alter Wars 2 has got FM-Sound on my computer... >Another thing: nice, a slotexpander... So I put my SCC in the >slotexpander, and now none of my SCC-cracks recognize it... (except >Solid Snake and the Games Collection disks for normal SCC...) Is this >normal? Yup. Normally a game using SCC doesn't need to detect the slot where it's in, for that's the current slot the ROM is working from. However, in a crack the current slot is the slot of the memory-mapper, which hasn't got a SCC built-in. So the person who cracks the game has to make a SCC-detection routine himself. And those in most cases can't handle secundary slots. The Solid Snake-crack was just a very good one which supported seundairy slots. >By the way, can I connect a harddisk to my slotexpander? (Yes, with my >Gouda SCSI interface in it!) Why don't you try??? Depends on the type of slotexpander. Mine is too slow to handle the interface, but maybe a newer one can handle your SCSI-interface. As I said, just try. >And: why is the sound of my FM-PAC less loud when it's in the >slotexpander?? (How does it work anyway, are the sound channels mixed in >the expander? The sound of my Music Module (also in the expander) has to >go through the same wire, hasn't it?) Yeah... dunno. I think the electronics lower the sigal on the sound-in pin... Indeed strange thatso many things on MSX give a too soft audio-sound. Korean FM-Ship and Philips Music Module for example. ~Grauw **** MSX Mailinglist.
