What is all this shit, how childish? Lets be nice to one another eh? This is
about MSX right? So keep it on topic please, no crap. I'm not interested in
wether or not somebody uses their brothers e-mail address, really, I can do
perfectly fine without that useless information.
If you have something to say about MSX however, feel free to do so, I'm
listening. I'm not slinging any shit to anyone, just calling upon you all to
keep this list clean.
I myself am on a drawing tool for the PC (yep the successor of the buggy
PC-age that only worked on a Diamond Graphics card...) that is capable of
handling most msx formats. Right now it can load screen 12,11,10,8,7 and 5
images, as well as jpg, gif, bmp and pcx. It can save to screen 8, jpg and
bmp. Gif save will not be implemented due to reasons of legality, and screen
12, 10 and 11 save will be in there shortly. I'm still working on the
routines for this, any information on accurate conversion from 4 pixels in
RGB format to YJK is welcome.
The tool will run in win9x environments only and with a 16+ bit color card.
It is meant to be a tool to access the wealth of imagery there is for the PC
and convert that to msx. Tools include some retouching tools, filters and
drawing. Nothing that can't be found in another package, but it's nice to
have it in one program.
It won't be ready soon, I've got a lot of other things to do, but I'm happy
to entertain any suggestions. If anyone wants a preview uploaded on funet,
just ask =)
