SUNRISE

Like everyone must have noticed Sunrise wasn't doing to good
lately. The last Sunrise Magazine was released a half year ago
and some activities like the Games Subscription didn't go very
smooth.

The reason for this was that the Sunrise Crew, mainly Stefan
Boer and Remco Schrijvers, didn't have much time for Sunrise.
Remco was very busy with his education and Stefan was forced
to slow down for medical reasons. Because a lot of activities
were done by these two people some things started to fall
behind. Sunrise noticed this to and decided to do something
about this.

                       UNITED MSX FORCE

The Sunrise Crew had a long meeting with UMF. At firtst it was
about the diskmagazine ROM working together with Sunrise
Magazine. When we of UMF heared that Sunrise wanted to stop,
we took the initiative of taking on the management. UMF has
been active for MSX for years and plan to continu doing this.

Sunrise thought this to be a good idea and we talked about
this on a weekend in early June. These talks were succsessfull
and we can tell with certainty:

                STICHTING SUNRISE WILL REMAIN!

The only thing that will change is the management. The old
managament will leave and will be replaced by a new one, wich
consists of UMF members. UMF will not take over Sunrise.

                 GRAPHICS 9000 AND MOONSOUND

With Sunrise the activities will also remain the same. The new
hardware like the Grapics 9000 and moonsound will still be
sold and new hardware like the IDE interface will still be
developped. We can even deliver the Graphic 9000 from our
stock.

                      GAMES SUBSCIPTION

The Games Sunbscription will be continued as soon as possible.
The prices will be the same and plans are being made about the
new games. The members will be send a letter shortly in wgich
everytinh will be explained.

                       SUNRISE MAGAZINE

Because Sunrise Magazine was mainly put together by Stefan
Boer this was also a point that neaded a solution. Because UMF
already has a disk magazine resembling Sunrise Magazine the
idea was that they would merge into a new Magazine. This
magazine will be called ROM (Read Only Magazine) but will have
a lot of influence from the Sunrise. All members will receive
a letter with all the details. The people who were already
subscripted to ROM and Sunrise will be able to decide about
the new subsction agreement and willalso get a letter about
this.

                            GOSSIP

I can really get worked up by some figures who spread rumours.
I'm talking about a rumour circulating in MSX bbs' which said
Sunrise was going stop. This message was placed by the Sysop
of Sunrise BBS who thought his BBS would have to stop. He
placed a message in the echo mail without consulting us
firtst. Sunrise and UMF weren't really happy about this but
everything turned out ok. So I'll tell you again "SUNRISE
WON'T STOP!"

                            THANX!

I'd like to thank the ex-Sunrise members. The have done a lot
for the MSX. Thanks to them many nem hardware devices have
been made and lots of new games were released. Most of all I'd
like to thank Stefan Boer , THE man behind Sunrise for his
support and effort. Stefan will offcourse not stop with the
MSX, just like Remco, they will always stay active but they
have given on a great task to others, so they have more time
for other things.

I would like to have your attention for the following: Sunrise
got a new management and they will have to get used to this
new job of having to direct the Sunrise activities and thats
not really easy. The management asked us to make up for the
time that the Sunrise activities were down and this will take
a lot off effort and money. So if at first things won't go as
smooth as they should, be patient, were only human!

But we are humans who have the best intensions for MSX and
Sunrise!
