I don't know when or how it happens if IMPROVE crashes, but my feeling is that there must be no extra tsr's or whatever actif when you run IMPROVE. I use IMPROVE every now and then. I had 2 time a crash, 1 time with loseing the partition. After reinitialize of the partition with FDISK2-1 I could copy the original data from my Bernouli that I use for spare. Normalli that diskdrive is connected to my PC, but I keep 1 disk for the MSX for backup. I have a ZIP-drive too, but I don't hardly use that one on the MSX because there is no utility to assign diskdrive-letters to partitions beyond the last available partition. I would like to use the ZIP-drive as the second harddisk when I use a 20Mb harddisk for Boot but then I have only drive A for a harddiskpartition and drive B and C for the floppy-drives. I can SWAP drive A to a partition on de ZIPDRIVE, but only 1 partition at a time and because A is the bootdisk I have to have my bootutilities on all the ZIP-drive partitions. greetings, Hans Peter Zeedijk <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
