Hello MSX freaks, I have put sources and binaries for conversion from ADPCM (Music Module) samples into PCM (modfiles, moonsound, MSX turbo R) samples and vice versa on ftp.funet.fi. The conversion routine for ADPCM to PCM conversion is fast enough to play ADPCM samples realtime on the MSX turbo R at a sampling rate of approximately 15 kHz! I have uploaded two files: 1) ftp://ftp.funet.fi/pub/msx/asm/sources/xadpcm.pma An archive with conversion programs for MSX-DOS and a conversion library for assembler programmers. 2) ftp://ftp.funet.fi/pub/msx/c/sources/xadpcm.tgz An archive with a library for C programmers and sources of two conversion programs that make use of this library. These programs can be compiled under UNIX/LINUX, MS-DOS and with some porting effort also on MSX-DOS. Best regards, Alex Wulms (XelaSoft) Ps. Just take your assembler and be creative, write it yourself and make it publicly available or do with it whatever you like!
