The problem is simple: the MSX video connectors (either SCART > or DIN-8) output composite sync whereas the 1084 series (either DIN-6 or > DB-9) monitors expect separate horizontal/vertical syncs. I have build some cables in the past and the 1084 does not use seperate sync. the amiga has a seperate sync output but also a composite sync output. and the composite sync output is used for the 1084s , for msx the only problem is that you need a comp. sync. with a 5V level some 1084S have a scart connector , then there will be no problem ofcourse. this is the diagram of the 6 P Din. (seen from the outside) 3 4 2 6 5 1 4 - red (scart 7) 1 - blue (scart 15) 5 - green (scart 11 2 - comp. sync.(scart 19) 3 - ground (scart 17 ,13, 9) erik - **** MSX Mailinglist.
