Hi MSX community! Thanks to JAM, I got the unprotected version of Xak 2, in Japanese. He also gave me TRANSLAT.COM and XAK2.TRD, so I could translate it myself, to get an unprotected English version. I did a TRANSLAT XAK2, just as it should, and the program started translating. BUT, after disk 3, there appeared a lot of garbage on my screen and the MSX hung after a while... I tried it a few times more, but there was still this behaviour... Now, what could be wrong? TRD file corrupted? TRANSLAT.COM corrupted? If anyone can help me with this (e.g. by mailinng me (tested) uncorrupted versions of these files), he would make me very happy! (Because I'm now ready to go to the castle on disk 4! :-) By the way, some of the texts on disk 3 were a bit corrupted in the game... Things went a bit wrong after slaying the ice-demon in the crystal cave and also when talking to this guy at the fountain... So maybe I also have to retranslate disk 3 of Xak 2.
