PA3, Lost World, you can see the link clearly everywhere. But if you don't
know much about the black metal scene, you will often not recognize the
details. Ofcourse some names of metalbands are mentioned now and then, but
the bad guys in the games (usually demons) appear to have similarities with
satanistic ideas, which can easily be related to black metal. Since I like
metal, too (not all, but preferrably black, gothic and some power metal), I
do see those details and I was the one to write this in a message to Gerrit
a while ago. I know Gerrit dislikes it because of his religion, but what he
mentioned in his preview was then again HIS opinion. I don't mind either
(the thing that I dislike in this case is that I think that sometimes the
Umax-games lack originality since most of the jokes come from English
comedies (like Monty Python, Fawlty Towers etc.), most of the demonic
details from the black metalscene and most of the game graphics have very
much similarities with other MSX-RPG's), I even kind of like it because I
recognize things. And it's kind of logical, too, since there is a clear
parallel to demons and Satan. And then again, why bother, the demons (and
thus the satanistical parts) are the bad guys, so what's wrong with
parallelling them to beings generally distinguished as bad guys in the real
world (ah well, real, that one's not on my account, but well...).

Bye
Rieks
