Hi
I have 2 questions:
1 - I have a Novaxis SCSI interface, ROM version 1.59.64. I had my
interface in slot 2-2 of my slotexpander. The harddisk was a 1GB SCSI-2
harddisk of HP. This worked fine. Now I changed the following:
- I replaced the harddisk by a DEC 1GB SCSI-2 harddisk. This one is
in a seperate, own SCSI case with power supply. Other difference
is that this harddisk needs a seperate terminator.
Now the problem: with the HP harddisk everything works fine with the
SCSI interface in the slotexpander. With the DEC harddisk, MSX-DOS will
NOT boot from harddisk! In stead the MSX hangs after finding the
partitions and so. It ONLY works in a normal unexpanded slot! So, when I
put the interface in slot 1 (unexpanded) everything works as usual...
(Sometimes, in a subslot (2-3) MSX DOS starts booting, but after a few
seconds the MSX hangs... 3.5 of 8 MHz makes no difference.)
WHY?? (And (how) can this be solved?)
2 - I almost finished Xak 2 now. I have found the Xak-sword (disk 5).
The Djinn of the Sword tells me to walk to the edge of the cliff. There
it calls the dragons, including the blue dragon via the dragonring.
After a bit of loading I see the 2 dragons flying away, Latok on top of
the non-blue one. Then it starts loading again... BUT THEN: still
loading and suddenly the LED of my B-drive flashes on and my MSX
HANGS!!! Is this a bug introduced by the translation patch? I tried 2
different copies on FUNet and also on different disks... no
difference... What is the cause and how to solve it? (SO CLOSE TO THE
END!! ARGHH!)
Thanks for yer help!
