Wrong... a dictionary I have here gives as some possible translations for
the english word "stand", when used as a noun (dutch: zelfstandig naamwoord):

<DUTCH>

-statief (stander, standaard)
-stopplaats (halte, voor een bus bv.)
-tribune
-kraam, kraampje (wat hier bedoeld werd, betekenis klopte dus wel)
-rek (wijnrek bijv.)

</DUTCH>

And there's also many possible uses of this word as a verb (Dutch: werkwoord)
or as an adjective (Dutch: bijvoeglijk naamword)

Just so that you know it....
