SD Snatcher runs more fluent in R800 mode than it does in Z80 mode. So I
think the speed limitation is not in the VDP...

By the way, I prefer playing SD Snatcher in R800 mode. It is harder to
evade the monsters, but in many other aspects it's a lot more playable. In
constrast to Solid Snake, which becomes way too fast.
