It could be a selling point, since today everything
which plays MP3s do sell... Just kidding! ^^

Not likely. I wandered through Creative's site
looking for this exact information and couldn't
find it. It seems those MP3 series only include
a CD ripper and an MPEG encoder as bundled soft-
ware, since the soundcard seems to be a plain
SBLive!. However, I guess this is the logical
and cheaper approach for them, since nowadays
MP3 decoding by software doesn't usually take
more than 5% CPU cycles (in current hardware,
that is).
