Theze files may be saved as ascii texts, in which case you can try to load
them with a text editor, restore line numbers or split lines and save the
new version.
I remember using a very good disk recovery program in the old days. It
helped me save a lot of damaged SS and DS disks (even disks crashed on a
IBM-PC). I think it was called RECOVER. It consists mainly of a Basic
program with a bit of machine code. You could use it to read sectors
directly from disk and assign them to files. A tedious job, but worth the
trouble if your data is irreplaceable. You can try to locate it or else I'll
search through all of my old MSX disks..

Can't you just copy it to a MSXDOS formatted disk on the SVI-738?
