For every I apologize if I'm misinformed, but if you develop a software which is dependant on the character table then you should redefine it unless you only want to run it on a particular country. I don't have a prin- ted version of MSX Technical Handbook and couldn't find quickly a copy to check it out, but I doubt such a standard was defined for Brazil, for example. Lucky for us BASIC-programmers that later Gradiente and Sharp agreeded to use a more similar character table (but, anyway, they never got the same). > defined country-code it has a specific standard character set (in ROM). If you say so, I'll believe it, but if some software doesn't take in account such differences then it is *more* incompatible than if they weren't standardized. In a practical way, I'd say the software isn't com- patible with the user, but it's still compatible with MSX. :) Btw, where can I find an online version of MTH?
