I'm very surprised that you say that MSX emulators don't really work, except
RuMSX. What is true is the fact that RuMSX works for almost all MSX games,
including the TURBO-R games. The other emulators can't start TURBO-R games
and can have problems with some other games.

For me, the five best emulators are the following ones :

- fMSX-DOS : screenshot with F8 ; you get a BMP picture) ;
- BrMSX : screenshot with F9 ; you get a PCX picture - you must use an
graphic viewer or editor and then save the picture in another format)
- fMSX-Windows 2.1. (not freeware) - see the explanation for RuMSX
- RuMSX : as it works under Windows, you must use the PrtScrn touch and then
start an graphic program like Microsoft Photo Editor to recover , modify
your picture and save in another format
- NLMSX (can start protected softwarte that RuMSX can't start !) : you must
use F9 and you get a BMP picture

For the pictures using Screen 12 (MSX 2+ or TURBO-R), the easiest way to
make screenshots of good quality is NLMSX and F9. You can also use RuMSX and
BrMSX, but it's more complicated, especially in the case of BrMSX (the
perfect emulation of Screen 12 is only available under real DOS, not in a
DOS-window under Windows !). Another solution is use in the emulator an
conversion program from Screen 12 to Screen 8 and then do the screenshot -
that's the only solution for fMSX-DOS and fMSX-Windows, because these
emulators don't have the good colors for Screen 12. There's an japanese
version of fMSX-DOS (FMSXFAN) that good emules the Screen 12, but
is,actually, without function for screenshots: I think that we'll must waut
for the Windows version..
