I also disagree with AgOny.
Many MSX developers already use PC or other devices to develop MSX soft.
Think of the fact that compiling is faster, you can open more pictures
in a drawing program (and have better filters also...). If there is some
debugging to do in your programs it could be verry nice to have a good
emulator with verry nice debugger interface. Again a PC can make a
better debugger since you can display more text at the same time etc.
Speaking as an MSX developer, I have more access to PC's then to real
MSX's so a good emulator could greatly help me with developing new MSX
software. My current MSX ratio is almost nill because I don't have a
monitor annymore to hook up with my MSX.
And I admit that for some games I like emulators better. Saving a game
is a nice way to try to beat a game without having to start over again
and again and again. It doesn't has to same emotional value as ending it
on the real thing(not to mention sound and picture quality) but at least
I can see a degraded version of the end instead of not seeing it at all.
