As far as I can see, the TCP/IP stack for the eZ80 is in software. The
product brief reads "ZiLOG can provide a complete TCP/IP stack, allowing for
rapid internet connectivity." In the block diagram there is no block called
"TCP/IP" or something similar.
And it would be logical for the TCP/IP implementation to be in software,
because of the nature of the algorithm. Hardware implementation is used for
simple calculations that have to be performed very often. TCP/IP is not like
that.
