Svi738 to msx2

Hi   Statement: When upgrading the svi738 to msx2, the 2 - 4bit 16k video rams have to be replaced by 4 - 4bit 64k rams. This is done by piggybacking them. The pcb contrary to the schematics does not have open spaces for IC 23 and IC24.   Question 1:    Will an extra 0.1 uF condensators (one per ram chip piggybacked - C17 & C18 in the schematics) be neccesary if the chip below already has one?. Question 2:    On the extra ram chips (piggybacked ones) the pin to be connected to the CAS1 signal is pin 16 right?
