Do you use _MUSIC to initialize the fm-music? If you do that, you also start
the MIDI interrupt on the GT. Which will hang your machine if you start using
your own interrupt driver without checking the MIDI status ports.
It is OK to use _MUSIC on the GT but if you do so, you must make sure that
the standard interrupt handler does not get disabled.
