Hi.

I will tell you a story.

I was happily trying to get my Philips NMS8250 MSX working (the cartridge
slot was working quite badly), and as an experiment I tried if banging on my
desk (with my hands, not my MSX) would crash my computer. Well, that worked
alright, in fact, after three fully automated (wow) restarts, while messing
up the colors every time, my MSX broke down and wouldn't work anymore. The
power- and 7MHz-led slowly faded out after I turned the power off.

So, I was sad because my MSX was total loss, crying a lot (another MSX to
heaven, rest in peace my dear friend). But, fortunately, I had a 'spare'
Philips VG8245 (it has no diskdrive (broken), but I wanted to use my HD
anyway). So after putting it together, I could use my MSX again. But hmmm...
It's a bit slow without 7MHz. Idea!!! Let's rip the 7MHz print from my
broken NMS8250 and put it in the VG8245!!!

Some time later, I was crying again... Yep, I definately need more soldering
experience (and better equipment). Anyway, I don't think I can still safe my
VG8245, I made a pretty mess of it while desoldering the old Z80 and
destroyed the main board a little bit (much). Symptoms are: when I start the
computer, the screen doesn't display anything, and the cassette
motor -click!- and caps (both controlled by the PPI) are most of the time
enabled. The 7MHz led does not flicker. I will try some more, but in the
meantime I would like to ask you this:

*** Does anyone have an MSX for sale??? ***
(or do you know someone who has?)

I would prefer it to be a VG8245, or at least a Philips.
Also, 7MHz built in already is a pre.

Please name your price, and don't make it rediculously high.

Suggestions to repair my VG8245 are also appreciated.
I have given up my NMS8250, since I have used the 7MHz print for my other
MSX and besides, it was already falling into pieces.
