] I would like the format to be verry MSX aware. I would like to use it
] (unchanged) on a real MSX. SQL on MSX isn't done yet.
] So therefore i prefere that the baseformat is flat text, MS(X) -dos style (so
] <CRLF> ended.)
As far as I'm concerned, the server can contain a database with an html
frontend. So, if you open for example the URL <server>
/cgi/msxsofts.php3?format=flatfile in your browser, you get the information
as a flatfile. And if you open the URL <server>/cgi/msxsofts.php3/format=html,
you get a very nice formatted html page (for online browsing)
And if you open the URL <server>/cgi/msxsofts.php3?gameid=305&getversion_numbe
r

You get the most recent version number for gameid 305.

Looks much more flexible to me then a physical flatfile on the server.

And as far as the date format is concerned: I prefer YYYYMMDD for display
to the end-user and also for the entry into the DB. I'm used to that
format from my work. And everybody who will ever work in the international
financial industry will also eventually get in touch with that date
format...

Kind regards,
Alex Wulms
