Good one! I forgot about that.
Try [files "B:"] in BASIC and see if the drive reacts.
I'm using a PC-like twisted floppy cable in my 8250, but it's been a long
time since I opened it, so I forgot about it. I put two drives on a single
cable and used the second drive connector to place the jumper over pin 33 and
34.
