Wulms,

I'm asking you cause i'm sure you know this :)

I'm working on a scc emulator on the Clavia Nord Modular.
I already made a psg and fm-pac so scc is the next logical thing :)

Now I don't know what the data format is for the wave data.
As far as i remember it was 32 bytes long, but is every byte a sample?.

Do you remember this from the ol days?.

greets,
aka!.

btw., you can dl a mp3 of a recreation of the AlesteII music on my
modular.

Intro is in dutch so i'll explain some stuff in english here.
First i recreated the yamaha fm-engine as good as i could
on the Nord Modular (www.clavia.se).
I didnt have data on bit resolution of oscilators or envelopes
so i don't know if i got these right.

Next i downloaded a midi-file of AlesteII (the intro)
and put it in a sequencer.
Then i just played with the sounds to make them sound
kindof like the original. Problem is that i didn't hear the
original for at least 5 years. :))

I also used the ad-lib drums from my soundcard to get something
like the original because i didn't emulate them.

that's the story, have fun and get nostalgic!.
