Meridian is a MIDI sequencer for MSX 2 (and higher). I started programming in
1994
and it is still not finished, because a application like this can always be
improved.
(current version is v2.1). It is running in screen 0 and window orientated.
Some featues:
- Menu en window controlled (mouse & keyboard)
- Supported fileformats:
- Meridian (load & save)
- Standard MIDI files format #0 and #1 (load & save)
- Moonblaster (load)
- Soundtracker (ancient stuff...) (load)
- in progress: Monnblaster Wave (load)
- All standard MIDI controlers like Program change, volume, pan, expression,
bank change, modulation, pitchbend, RPN, etc
- 10 user defined controllers
- Realtime MIDI recording
- Advanced MIDI thru emulation
- System exclusive message editor
- Context sensitive help (several languages: English and Dutch )
- MIDI data optimize en quantize
- Block functions
- Configuration file for setting options, colors, directories, maximum filesizes
and more
- MIDI driver editor (because there is no synthesizer the seem like another one)
- ect,...
But....... some requirements:
- MSX 2 or higher (Turbo R recommended)
- MSX DOS 2
- MIDI interface: Philips Music Module or Turbo R
- 512K RAM (using minimal configation. Was 1024 K RAM)
I'm using Compass 1.2 because that is simple the best assembler. (we don't need
to
argue about that)
