Hi, I need your help!

Sources of programs are hard to find.

First there is the commercial interest that keeps the source secret to
prevent theft.
Second, programmers do not like others looking in their sources, discovering
not so
tidy layout, tricks that did take a lot of time etc..
Then programmers start working on new interesting areas and forget the
MSX sources. Not only games but essential utilities such as Memman and
Ted etc.are not available and not developed anymore.

At the moment a group in the Netherlands is actively collecting the
sources of essential software. This means contacting the authors,
negociating and convincing there is still interest (but no money!) for
these programs. And then aiding in dusting of ol floppy boxes,
retrieving forgotten hard disks and chasing after people who did get
this material before but since then disappeared.

For example: Ramon van der Winkel of the former MST gave all his
sources to a person named Jochum or Joachim.

Who knows who this person may be? Last name, email address?

It is going quite well. The MST, a wellknown group of programmers is
helping us already as much as possible. And a game developer also
wants to help.
Publication wll take a while, we want to do it in a appropiate way.

So look around, ask around and dig up those sources! Help us to make a
repository of sources to give the remaining and new programmers a
kickstart!
