Hi, This is my humble opinion about making an Ethernet card with eZ80:
- using the eZ80 on the network card would make possible to get very high speed with the Ethernet card *only if the complete TCP/IP operation* be done by the eZ80; - making such card allowing only one socket is a big waste of resources, even on monotask operating systems like MSXDOS; - it's like "killing a fly with a cannon"; the eZ80 has enough power to control the entire MSX, and not only a simple TCP/IP stack; - such card will not be cheap; the eZ80 CPU is somewhat expensive; ===== Adriano Camargo Rodrigues da Cunha ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) http://www.adrpage.cjb.net MSX: more fun per less MHz _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Yahoo!
