Thanks for this link. This is indeed what I was looking for. Meanwhile, I had 
already found the US unison-capital via google but was wondering if that was 
the correct one.

If I interprete the company profile and strategy of Unison Capital correctly, 
then taking over ASCII is not such a strange move. It fits within their 
strategy of trying to build-up a fund that is profitable on the long term, 
provided that good restructurings are done at the companies that they invest 
in.

After all, ASCII *is* a big publisher in Japan and does have the potential to 
become profitable again if run correctly and all pet-projects and other 
overhead activities are terminated.

But then again, questions can always be raised about the real motivation of 
choosing ASCII and not another company to add to their portfolio. After all, 
business is all about people knowing people and interacting with each other...
