Ehh.. I'm just stunned.

I agree with Richard (and even with Hans) that MSX should be a
fun - occupation and that we should not fight about insignificant things.
But that doesn't mean that we can't have a discussion every now and then!
Face it - even MSX users don't always agree. Saying (you think) someone
is not right doesn't mean starting a war or something. It's just making a
point.
You can't have a discussion without making yourself clear.

What bothers me is that Hans chose to post this disclaimer on the internet,
without even considering to talk to the people he mentions in it. I assume
he
got angry about the Pascal/ASM discussion, so why does he mention
most of msx.org (could be me), people on #msx (could be me), people on
the mailinglist (could be me), etc. who clearly were not involved in that
particular discussion (like me).

Now I am quite sure - according to the private mail-conversations I had
with Hans in the past (even during a similar situation) - that Hans is not
talking about me in his disclaimer, but how should the people who read
the disclaimer on his site know that? How should I know that?

And still.. he is talking about people I know well. People I like. People I
work
hard with to make MSX and its community as alive and 'fun' as possible.
On the mailinglist, on #msx and especially on www.msx.org.
I expect no one to worship me for that, I expect everyone to appreciate
the efforts I take however, just like I appreciate other people who
contribute
to the MSX community.

How many people visit Hans' site without even knowing what is going on?
Even the people mentioned in the disclaimer have no clue what it really is
about.
It doesn't feel good to talk about Hans this way behind his back too,
but I just coud not resist reacting.

Hans, if you're reading this. Take a deep breath, cool down and think of the
Monty Python "Arguments" sketch and remember discussions can be good
& funny. If that helps, try and sort things out with Patriek Despair (ok ,
in
it's essence that was a nice pun :P). An apology/explanation on your site
would
be appreciated.

Greetings,

Sander
