Hello Ivan, > Is this PCB some kind of MSX1/2 -> MSX2/2+ converter?: > http://lpadial.aamsx.org/pagev.HTM It is. The LPE-V3858-V1 is a VDP board, on which you can place a V9938 or a V9958. You can use a jumper to set the PCB for use with a V9938 or a V9958. It can be used as a standalone VDP in the EV4 expander, but it can also be used to upgrade a MSX1 or MSX2 to a MSX2+. However in order to get a fully functional MSX2+ it is also needed to replace the internal ROM of the MSX1 or 2. MSX-Info Blad is trying to import several of these boards from Spain. Price without a VDP will be around 50 euro's, but this price can be dropped if more than 10 boards are ordered. People that are interested please send an e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] so that we can get an indication how many boards need to be made. We hope to show a V3858 at the fair in Bussum. We do however need V9958 chips in order to supply a fully functional board. If someone can supply us V9958 chips for a reasonable price then you can also send an e-mail to the mentioned address.
