Hey Patriek,

Just a guess.. It might be the difference between MSX BASIC v2.0 and v2.1!
I don't know the exact details, but AFAIK it had something to do with how the RAMDisk worked...

Hmm, that would explain a lot... Your guess made me think and try something... I found that when the game is loaded, there's a CALL MEMINI(1023) command. I played with this command in the MSX2 modus and found out that it caused an error ("No RAM disk" - I'd never seen this error before). However, no error occurs when the game is loaded and this command is used - the error occurs only when the RAM disk is opened to write something to it. Strange! Why do I get an error message when the command is not incorporated in a program but straightly given in BASIC?

Anyway, I tried to change the CALL MEMINI(1023) into just CALL MEMINI and the error message problem seemed to be solved... But since I just don't understand what exactly is the difference (I guess that (1023) had a function as well), I'm not fully satisfied yet. Will I have to test the game all over to see whether another error message will occur somewhere?

Bye
Rieks
