AFAIK you can't use the Music Module keyboard (yet). Meridian does import MBM music, I think...

No, you can't save in MBM. MBM format is too limited.
I'd be great if in the future Meridian will become the main application to write music in all formats!!!
An application to write music in ALL formats is strange. Moonblaster can't save FST files either, but it can load them. Even Moonblaster for Moonsound doesn't save in normal Moonblaster format!
Still, because OPL4 is OPL1 (Music Module) compatible you can only use OPL1 functions and create a converter for .MER to .MBM. I don't think Meridian will support this natively. (At least I wouldn't bother with it if I was Michiel :P)
