The main thing I prefer about my approach is that it lets me use "makepkg-mingw" unmodified, so (a) I don't have to extract the build command from the PKGBUILD file, tweak it, and then run it manually, and (b) it generates package archives that i can then unpack into my own target location (e.g. on a USB memory stick or similar). It's possible that I could work around this with sufficient understanding of makepkg (I'm still reading the manpages for anything beyond basic usage, so I'm definitely not an expert yet...) But yes, having a whole msys2 environment just for a build of a few packages is probably overkill :-) Paul ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BPM Camp - Free Virtual Workshop May 6th at 10am PDT/1PM EDT Develop your own process in accordance with the BPMN 2 standard Learn Process modeling best practices with Bonita BPM through live exercises http://www.bonitasoft.com/be-part-of-it/events/bpm-camp-virtual- event?utm_ source=Sourceforge_BPM_Camp_5_6_15&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=VA_SF _______________________________________________ Msys2-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/msys2-users
