Hi,
After a recent update (couple of days ago), backspace echoes a space in
mintty.
The default terminal is xterm-256color:
$ echo $TERM
xterm-256color
I don't set term myself and I guess this variable is set by mintty itself,
since it is the value for the terminal in mintty own options.
If I switch to:
$ export TERM=cygwin
I get a functioning backspace again.
So :
- what has changed recently wrt mintty ?
- what would be a right default TERM value in mintty?
