Okay, I've downgraded Git.pm and git-svn to the 1.5.5 version, and I
still get the
"unable to add". It turns out that's a git error.
I think I'd say 1.5.6.1 is fundamentally broken with git-svn on
Windows. The relnotes
of 1.5.6.2 indicate there's some fixes in it for a lot of mistakes made
in optimizing
git-svn in 1.5.6, and the 1.6 relnotes (not released yet) indicate
msysgit is merged
into the main git release ... so I'll just downgrade to 1.5.5 and wait
for a next
release of either 1.5.6.2 or 1.6.
