To David Mowatt and others,

You ask about a listing of services.

You may be interested to learn that I am including
these services in the Compendium of translation software
which is about to be printed. This is a listing of all CURRENTLY
comercially available software for the production of translations
(of whatever level), for all translation support tools (inc. localisation,
terminology, alignment management, etc.), and Internet providers
of translations.

Not all the details you indicate as useful are included in the Compendium,
so there is still scope for the on-line list you propose. It could be part
of the
database of systems which IAMT is proposing to develop (perhaps using
the Compendium as a foundation).

After printing the Compendium will be made available at some stage on the
EAMT
website (probably as a PDF file), and will be updated regularly. (For those
interested, the
preliminary draft version of the Compendium can be seen on the
EAMT website (www.eamt.org/) now -- but WARNING: it is now inaccurate in
very many
details, some systems are no longer available and there are many
additions).

All members of IAMT (ie. EAMT, AMTA, AAMT) will receive the printed
Compendium free. Non-members will be charged for handling, postage,
and a small fee (not yet determined).

As I am in the last stages of completion, I shall add those services
you (and others) have alerted me to which were not already included.
If there are more, please contact me -- but quickly! I am going to print
early next week.
