        Research Position at the RALI (version fran�aise ci-dessous)

    The RALI Laboratory at Universite de Montreal is looking to hire a
full-time  researcher  or  a  post-doctoral  student to  work  on  the
TransType2 project (TT2).
TT2  is an  international  research  project, funded  in  part by  the
European  Commission's Fifth  Framework  Programme, whose  goal is  to
develop  an   innovative  type  of   interactive  machine  translation

This is a  eighteen-month term position, from January  2004 until June
2005, although there  may be some possibility of  continuing on at the
RALI after the end of the TT2 project.  For more on the RALI, see:

Candidates  should have  a strong  background in  statistical language
processing; prior  experience in machine translation would  also be an

    Le Laboratoire  RALI � l'Universit� de  Montr�al souhaite recruter
un  chercheur   �  plein-temps  ou  un   �tudiant  post-doctoral  pour
travailler au projet TransType2 (TT2).
TT2 est un projet de recherche international, financ� en partie par le
5e  Programme Cadre  de  la  Commission europ�enne,  dont  le but  est
d�velopper un nouveau type de traduction automatique interactive. Pour

Ce poste au RALI sera d'une dur�e  de 18 mois (de janvier 2004 au juin
2005), quoi qu'il  y aurait une possibilit� de  continuer apr�s la fin

Le candidats doivent  avoir une bonne formation dans  le traitement de
la langue par des m�thodes statistiques. De l'exp�rience en traduction
