Dear MT list members,

We are thinking of establishing a translation service to help our
clients with the translation of legislations that we have either on our
on server or that are on public servers or on the client's own server.

We're thinking of using a "URL translator", which, as much as I can see,
is working by typing in the link to where the document can be found and
the MT will translate it for us and will come up with a translated doc
(which, I assume, will be available on the desktop of the person who
initiated the request for translation).

We would want the MT to look in some Translation Memories (Trados
based), which we have and into some specific dictionnaries (or
bi-lingual, English+Local languages, lists of words) which should tell
the MT to choose the given combination instead of the one that is
(probably) in the general dictionnaries the MT is based on.

We're not quite sure yet, but we might also want the tool to be able to
accept corrections made by us (or by our proofreaders/trranslators) on
it's translations, in order to improve quality of future translations.
I'm not sure if this is an existing feature. Does the tool have it's own
Translation Memory? Can it be linked to one? How?

Where can I find workflows that show how an MT is integrated in a
translation process? Or eventually get a workflow of a URL translator?

I assume the tool can work with PDF, Word Excel, etc., but I'm wondering
if there is anything specific (difficulties, requirements) regarding PDF
files (for example) or other file formats.

1000 thanks in advance for your advice,
