*Evaluation Packages from Technolangue*
/ELRA today announced the publication of six Evaluation Packages in its
catalogue./
These Evaluation Packages were produced within the French national
research programme Technolangue funded by the French Ministry of
Research and New Technologies (MRNT). Each package includes the material
that was used and/or produced for each evaluation campaign: resources,
protocols, scoring tools, results of the campaign, etc. The aim of these
evaluation packages is to enable external players to evaluate their own
system and compare their results against those obtained during the
evaluation campaigns.
Details on the Evaluation Packages:
The *ARCADE II* Evaluation Package was produced within the *ARCADE II*
project which aim was to carry out a campaign for the evaluation in the
field of multilingual alignment. Two actions were considered during the
campaign: sentence alignment and translation of named entities. See:

The *CESART* Evaluation Package was produced within the *CESART* project
which aim was to carry out a campaign for the evaluation of
terminological resources acquisition tools. Two actions were considered
during the campaign: term extraction and relation extraction. See:

The *CESTA* Evaluation Package was produced within the *CESTA* project
which aim was to carry out a campaign for the evaluation of machine
translation technologies. Two actions were considered during the
campaign: evaluation on a non restrictive vocabulary, evaluation on a
specialised domain (evaluation after terminology enrichment). See:

The *ESTER* Evaluation Package was produced within the *ESTER* project
which aim was to carry out a campaign for the evaluation of Broadcast
News enriched transcription systems for French. Three actions were
considered during the campaign: orthographic transcription,
segmentation and information extraction (named entity tracking). See:

The *EQueR* Evaluation Package was produced within the *EQueR* project
which aim was to carry out a campaign for the evaluation of
Question-Answering systems in French. Two actions were considered during
the campaign: one generic task and one specialised task (medical

The *EvaSy* Evaluation Package was produced within the *EvaSy* project
which aim was to carry out a campaign for the evaluation of speech
synthesis systems using French text data. Three actions were considered
during the campaign: evaluation of grapheme-to-phoneme conversion,
evaluation of prosody, global evaluation of the quality of speech

The *MEDIA* Evaluation Package was produced within the *MEDIA* project
which aim was to carry out a campaign for the evaluation of man-machine
dialogue systems for French. The campaign is distributed over two
