I'm pleased to release a document studying theories, systems and
designs of native language-driven foreign language learning.

Key points:

"L1-driven L2 teaching" is a method which lets a browser extension
insert foreign language micro-lessons into the native language Web
page you're browsing. It can be further divided into two paradigms:

(1) "Topic-oriented teaching" is to insert foreign language
micro-lessons relevant to the topic of the Web page you're browsing.

(2) "Word-oriented teaching" is to insert foreign language
micro-lessons, each specifically targeting a certain word of the Web
page you're browsing.

Obviously, word-oriented teaching will involve word sense
disambiguation (a technique in natural language processing and machine
translation), while topic-oriented teaching doesn't.
