Are you interested in working on collaborative European Projects on quality estimation for Machine Translation and Interoperability Standards? Do you want to advance the field of research with a view towards building connected systems and workflows? Do you want to work in an innovative research environment? ----------- At the Centre for Next Generation Localisation (CNGL) in Dublin, Ireland, we have a number of post-doctoral positions as part of the FP7 QTLaunchPad and MultilingualWeb-LT projects. The QTLaunchPad and MultilingualWeb-LT projects are support actions (CSA) focused on collaborative research on high-quality MT (QTLaunchPad) and on developing standards for language technology on the web (MultilingualWeb-LT). We are looking to hire a strong Postdoctoral Researcher in Machine Translation and Language Technologies with a strong interest in development, as well as practical aspects of deploying Machine Translation technologies, including interoperability, standards, integration of MT technologies into sophisticated content management systems (including CMSs, Translation Memories), handling of mark-up and meta-data annotations in MT, the link between MT and Open Linked Data (for semantic modelling), as well as evaluation. Strong programming and implementation skills are required. Knowledge of existing standards (e.g. ITS, XLIFF, TMX) would present a distinct advantage. Applicants for the position of Postdoctoral Researcher must have a PhD in a relevant discipline. Ideally candidates will also have a minimum of 1 years postdoctoral experience, or equivalent.
