*Call for Tutorial Proposals*
*The 14^th MT Summit, Nice, France, 2 - 6 September 2013*
http://mtsummit2013.info
We welcome proposals and ideas for the Tutorial Program at the Machine
Translation Summit 2013. Tutorials will be held on 2-3 September 2013,
immediately preceding and in the same venue as the main conference.
Tutorials at Machine Translation Summit conferences are intended to
attract experts who can share their expertise in half-day (or
occasionally full-day) teaching sessions. Tutorials are held before the
main conference, and provide background that will help participants
understand the conference program (especially for newcomers to the
field), or enrich their understanding of particular technical, applied,
and business matters surrounding research, development and use of MT and
translation technology. Tutorials are often delivered as oral
presentations, sometimes with demos, online information, participant
exercises and other instructional materials and activities.
We ask that tutorials be of interest to a broad audience.
Send a title and brief description of the proposed tutorial's topic and
content, including a short outline of the presentation or interactive
activity, showing that the content can be covered in 4 (8) hours. Be
sure to include names, affiliation and professional expertise of the
organizers of the tutorial, intended number of participants, as well as
technical requirements.
Tutorial proposals should be sent by e-mail to:
[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>
The deadline for proposing tutorials is February 1, 2013.
Notification of accepted tutorials is February 15, 2013.
The deadline to send slides and other material is July 1, 2013.

*Additional information *
The main organizer (one person) of a tutorial will receive a
complimentary registration for the tutorial. Concerning advertisement,
the MT Summit organizers will disseminate the calls and host a page in
the Summit website including title, presenter(s) with affiliations,
description and date of the tutorial. We will also encourage the
tutorial organizers to promote their event themselves. The EAMT
Secretary may assist with access to various distribution lists if
necessary. Registration for the tutorial will be managed by the MT
Summit website.
Regarding printing materials, slides etc. we will go electronic, so that
when a person has registered for an event, he/she will get access to a
site from which documentation can be viewed and downloaded when it is
available. All registered participants will receive, before the event, a
password they can use for that purpose. If they wish they can print out
relevant material before the event or see it on their laptops. A
beamer/projector will be available for the Tutorial. The organizer of a
tutorial is supposed to bring his own laptop to be connected to the beamer.
