EAMT 2012 Best Thesis AwardFive PhD theses were received for the 2012 edition of the Best Thesis Award. A committee consisting of four members of the EAMT Executive Committee (Khalid Choukri, Marcello Federico, Khalil Sima'an, and Mikel L. Forcada as secretary) judged the dissertations according to three criteria: relevance to the area of translation technologies, impact on the evolution of the field, and the challenge posed by the problem. After careful deliberation, the jury could not agree on a consensus candidate to whom it could assign the prize unanimously and wholeheartedly. Consequently, the jury decides*to leave the prize unassigned for 2012*.
