We (SOFTWIN - Romanian company, [email protected], www.softwinresearch.ro<http://www.softwinresearch.ro>) are trying to make an international project proposal in the European program "HORIZON 2020", (DEGRABALT Dependency Grammar Based Language Translation). We need in this project some partners that could contribute concerning one of the languages: Catalan, Dutch, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Basque, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Estonian, Finnish, Galician, Greek, Icelandic, Irish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Norwegian, Portuguese, Serbian, Slovak, Slovene, Swedish. We need a response very quickly because the time is very short (the project proposal must be registered until April 23, 2014). We already prepared all the documents for the proposal!
We will be honored if you and your team want and are available to participate as partner in this project. If you agree, we can send you other information about project intentions. The project will be developed based on GRAALAN metalanguage principles and tools. The Objectives of the project refer to: a) Linguistic Knowledge Bases: completing the existing GRAALAN linguistic knowledge bases and creating new knowledge bases. 1. Completing the linguistic knowledge bases for Romanian language (L0) and linguistic correspondences between L0 and English language (L3). 2. Creating knowledge bases for partner language (L1) and linguistic correspondences L1 <-> L3. b) New applications: developing an application in order to facilitate translation between natural languages using the GRAALAN system. 1. Creating a converter between a source dependency tree and a target dependency tree. 2. Creating a generator of the surface structure starting from a dependency tree. 3. Integrating the GRAALAN knowledge bases and modules in order to develop a translator for L0 <-> L3. 4. Integrating the GRAALAN knowledge bases and modules in order to develop a translator for L1 <-> L3. SOFTWIN will assure training and GRAALAN tools for the developments.
