Researcher, Machine Translation
The University of Lisbon (Dept of Informatics, Faculty of Sciences)
has a position for a researcher with a background in Machine Translation
funded by the project QTLeap (http://qtleap.eu). QTLeap is a European
project aimed at enhancing quality translation by deep language engineering
approaches, including the exploitation of linked open data.
Expected experience and qualifications:
- PhD (or equivalent work experience) in computer science or
computational linguistics
- Experience in natural language processing, particularly machine
translation
- Programming skills in Perl/Python, C++, Java, etc.
- Good command of English, as well as open-mindedness and the will to
collaborate within a team
Starting date: starting as soon as possible after May 15, 2014
Contract duration: 30 months, full-time
Net monthly salary: aligned with experience, starting at 1500 euro
