The NLP/MT group at DCU (www.dcu.ie), run by Prof Andy Way and Prof. Qun Liu, is very well-regarded internationally having an excellent track record in top-quality publications, world-leading performance in NLP/MT open competitions and an impressive history in attracting large levels of research funding.
Owing to recent unprecedented success in obtaining further funding (Euro 24 million from the Irish Government, as the CNGL Centre for Intelligent Content transitions to ADAPT -- www.adaptcentre.ie; €775K from H2020 for the projects TraMooC and QT21; as well as other sources of national and international funding), there are a large number of research positions available at research fellow, postdoctoral and PhD levels in our group. We welcome applications from strong candidates at each level. Excellent machine-learning and programming skills are a prerequisite, with knowledge of statistical NLP/MT and connectionist models an added advantage. At research fellow and postdoctoral levels, a strong track record in publishing as well as managing small research teams is also required.
